I used 4 strands of a very fine, tweedy yarn. Instead of buttons, I did a worm trim down the front and around the neckline, then threaded an I cord thru the loops in the front and tied it in a bow.
The darker blue was made using 2 strands of the mystery yarn and 2 strands of navy cotton yarn, made on a Singer SK 150.
Later I added crochet lace to the sleeves to lengthen them for my mom.
