I used a wool mix made of 55% Premium Acrylic and 45% Wool. Thickness similar to 10 ply, which really is too thick for my Brother KH860 standard gauge machine, but I skipped every other needle to accommodate for this and this worked well. I knitted the front in two parts and added a zip to make a cardigan.
