Gio R Bye! |
Sue Jalowiec I'll get the replay up ASAP... see you next week! |
Nancy M ..great timing! |
Nancy M Just finished that mug of tea |
Yes, I, too, second Nancy M's comments---from another Nancy, (Z). |
Sue Jalowiec @Eric B - contact me and we can talk |
Sue Jalowiec @Nancy - thank you! |
Nancy M another great event! It did clear up some questions I had about these software products!!Thanks again! |
Eric B Hi, Eric from France. Use DAK for a few weeks and find it difficult to design pattern of others than standards, for example a hat |
Sue Jalowiec DAK pricing - I'll add a link to the pricing |
Leo B Thank you.Bye from Portugal |
Gio R Thnx Sue! |
Ann O Bye from the Uk |
What is basic pricing for DAK |
Carol W Thanks Sue, you are a blessing. |
Mary Ann B Thanks. Enjoy the rest of your day! |
Lynnette D Thanks Sue! |
Karyn B Thanks Sue!! |
Patricia H Thank you!! |
Ann O Thank you |
Ann O I've used it import a photo and create a knitted picture |
Jacqueline O Yes. I like the DAK8 interactive knitting. The audio alerts do help. l |
Patricia H Yes I have and yes it's really neat. If you can't hook it up you can you can advance the rows by hand. |
Lynnette D One thing about DAK. It only gives instructions. It doesn't tell you how to do techniques, so you really need to learn the basics of machine knitting before using. |
Matthew F or picture |
Matthew F You can use your phone to do the scan |
Kelly C How thin does yarn have to be to do tuck? |
Myj697 I agree |
Carol W Knit it Now Dynamic patterns are so much easier to work with, and I have done both. |
Patricia H I do not hook up my machines to DAK, would rather do it by hand. You can cable it to your machine and it will follow along as you knit. I find my attention is too much divided to do that well. |
Patricia H Karyn B, you are right. I use both and again the learning curve is there. But like with most programs once you learn a way that's easiest for you, you pretty much stick to it. |
Karyn B It sounds like Photoshop...takes a while to be up to speed on basics and you rarely get around to knowing/using full capacity. |
Patricia H Then I'll download the design and take it home to knit. |
Patricia H DAK has a lot of features, I have it on my laptop at work, so at lunch I can spend time looking over it or playing with a design I have in mind. |
Nancy M I would rather spend $$ on yarn and time knitting instead. |
DJ D I just got garment designer but my question is what is the difference between a CB1 and a knit leader |
Carol W I felt it took away from my actual knitting just staying away current with program. |
Carol W Used DAK but my computer changed over the years and cannot use the 3.5 floppy disk, therefore I cannot use the program |
Ann O DAK will run o Macs but you need to create a virtual Windows machine |
Ruth S I have Knitware but never use it. Use pencil/paper/knitleader. |
Ann O I have DAK on a virtual Windows machine on a Mac but only used it so far for creating a picture |
Ann O Like the sound of GD for garments and the fact that it can be used on Mac |
Patricia H I have used garment designer some, use DAK for colors but know DAK mostly |
Ann O yes |
Karyn B Do you need a special machine to use a knitleader? |
Matthew F YOu need to click here http://www.knititnow.com/LiveEvent/65/dak-vs-garment-designer-10-02-2018 to see the video and hit play |
Patricia H Love to design and play in my software, but use knitleader at machine after design done |
Ann O I have DAK but used for picture knitting so far. |
Myj697 How do I see the video |
Ann O If no knitleader/tracer then software may be useful |
DJ D Good afternoon sue |
Kelly C no kelly |
Lynnette D I think they don't need it, but it comes in handy. I think they should learn to do it yourself first. It makes the software easier.. I use DAK a lot |
Nancy M no ... need to learn bacis and become at one with your basic machine |
Carol W Not right away. Learn paper charting and truly understanding machine. |
Mary Ann B Do not NEED software - especially with Knit it Now. |
Ann O no. a new knitter doesn't need software |
DJ D Good afternoon sue |
