It sounded like a good idea..... I had 2 contrasting colors of yarn that I wanted to use for a hat.  The bright purple and white just called out "stripes" to me.  I got really ambitious and knit one half of our "Inside-Out Hat" pattern by alternating 2 rows of each color.

But I didn't consider how tedious the seaming would be. So I took a deep breath, got comfortable with a good strong light and neatly worked the seam.  Success!
