Hi ,
It was 105 degrees (40+C) and I was freezing!
Why do restaurants and movie theaters have to be so cold?
After more than 5 years in Phoenix, I've finally gotten smart and I bring a little something to keep me warm when I'm inside.
My recent go-to is my Butterfly shawl which got me thinking about lace.
Although technically not "lace" the simple elongated stitches in this shawl make it the perfect weight ... and it's so easy to knit. Use your ribber and it's even easier!
Will you join me tomorrow for our June "LIVE" Knit club? Wednesday June 1: 10am US Pacific We'll be talking about "real" lace and all the other options for lace-like knitting (like the one used for my Butterfly shawl)

PS I've been so excited about lace, I created a entire NEW DesignaKnit Course "DesignaKnit and Lace". It's an in-depth study of how DAK creates lace stitch patterns for us to use with our knitting machines.
It explores the differences between Brother and Singer/Silver machines, plus all the "rules" DAK applies in creating and using lace stitch patterns. | | LearnDesignaKnit.com/LACE |
