Russel Lever, Fashion lace, magic cam, memory drum .... KC button, g-carriage,  Fine Lace.

What do these terms mean?

Depending on the model of your first machine, the terms of the "other"  machines can be mysterious. Switching between brands and models can be challenging.

As I was creating our newest course "Singer  360" my brain really was taxed!  I kept trying to "translate" everything to Brother terms. I had to knock down a few cobwebs to keep the Singer terms straight.

This machine was marketed under Singer/Silver/Studio and Epismal brands

Pre-electronics, it was one of the most complete machines available, including both punchcard and Knit Contour charting device (AKA Knit Leader, Knit Radar). Adding even more possibilities to this machine is the optional lace carriage.

If you are in the market for a standard gauge (4.5mm) punchcard machine, I highly recommend the Singer 360... even if you are a "brother knitter" :o)
