Machine knitters (especially newbies) can struggle with figuring out what yarn they can use with their machine.
WE DON'T NEED TO USE YARN ON CONES
Yes, it can be easier to knit from cones and not having lots of yarn ends to work in from ball or hanks, but the reality is finding yarn on cones these days is difficult. We don't have a lot of choices. Here in the US, there are very few yarn mills and the ones that still exist don't put up yarn on cones for machine knitters. (Jaggerspun of Maine is an exception. Yeoman Yarns in the UK is another)
