I found loose lacy patterns dont curl as much so i just leave them. On the LK150 a finer yarn than recomended for the gauge seems to work and hand tooled patterns with some needles out of work.Knit a trial swatch with at least 100 rows to see what happens. If you dont have time to hand tool a plain st.st. with 3 needles in work and 1 out like a 3x1 rib knitted looosly is not bad, good luck

I like to do multi coloured tuck or skip. this gives a nice two sided pattern to your scarf. I embrace any edge curls as just a finishing to the scarf. also knit a bit wider to accommodate for the curl. x

For just rectangles i chart my own, it is nearly not charting, it is just determining stitches, rows, which cast on and cast off, and the pattern or curl-prevention. For other, more complicated projects though, it is good to have your tools or DAK by hand. :-) ok, i have handknit for decades, and machineknit for a while now....
