Classroom: End Needle Selection
End Needle Selection?
When knitting in pattern it's important to control the end needles as you knit. Keeping the edges neat and tidy makes it easier to seam.
In this tuck example, the end needle is tucking, causing dropped stitches along the edge and a "wonky" edge that is wavy and difficult to seam.
Use the method appropriate for your machine to prevent the end needle from patterning.

This edge will be difficult to seam. The 2nd needle from the edge is tucking. For a neater edge, it would have been better to cancel that tuck on the 2nd needle from the edge.
