Cast on and have some knitting on the needles.
Cam Levers:
- Set both cam levers to "H"
- Needles in A-B-D-E
- Pass the carriage
What happens?
- A - Needles do not knit (no matter what the carriage settings)
- B - Needles Knit
- D - Needles Knit
- E - Needles do not knit
Cam Levers:
- Set both cam levers to "H"
- Opposite the carriage, place 10 needles in E
- Pass the carriage
What happens?
All needles EXCEPT the needles in hold position will knit.
This is the technique behind
short row shaping/partial knitting.
- A - Needles do not knit (no matter what the carriage settings)
- B - Needles Knit
- D - Needles Knit
- E - Needles do not knit (hold | yarn passes over these needles)
Because the yarn passes over the needles in hold, this setting is also used for
TUCK on this machine.
Change Lever:
- Change Lever to "PLAIN"
- Cam Levers to "N"
- Needles in A-B-D-E
What happens?
This is the setting for plain knitting (stockinette)
- A - Needles do not knit (no matter what the carriage settings)
- B - Needles Knit
- D - Needles Knit
- E - Needles Knit
Change Lever:
- Change Lever to "PART"
- Cam Levers to "N"
- Needles in B
What happens?
This is the setting for
slip/skip and
FREE PASS
- A - Needles do not knit (no matter what the carriage settings)
- B - Needles do not knit (slip/skip)
- D - Needles Knit
- E - Needles Knit
Change Lever:
- Change Lever to "INTAR"
- Cam Levers to "N"
- Needles in B
- NO YARN in the feeder
What happens?
All needles will be positioned to "D" with the latches open.
