I own a LK150 and just purchased a SK840. The SK840 doesn't appear to come with cast on combs. Does anyone know why the don't come with combs or where I can find some? I'm very confused.

Hi, Bernie. I am Sandee from Auburn, WA, USA. I just got an 840 earlier this year. Mine didn't come with cast-on combs, either. But I think the reason may have to do with the fact that there are so many numerous ways to cast-on with the steel bed machines as compared to ways to cast-on with the 150.

Only Brother machines come with cast on combs. You don't really need them. You can cast on perfectly well without them. Either bring the needles out to hold position for the first 5 rows or put the weaving brushes down.
