Archive of Thread: CK35 Design Cartridge Back

I have a chance to buy ck35 (brother). It is in great shape except, the patterning doesn’t work with the one cartridge that is available. I have looked on eBay and only found the Design (not pattern cartridge) from a seller in Russia. 
Does anyone have/know someone who has the design cartridge to sell?
does anyone know if there is a way to connect DAK to this machine?  
The Pattern cartridge and the Design cartridge look alike, but I was told they are not interchangeable. 
I think that I will post this to Ravelry as well.  But I want to become more active in this group this year.

That looks like an interesting machine.  I'll be curious to know what you discover.
Even if the automatic patterning isn't working, if the Brother needle selection is similar to the more modern machines, you can still hand manipulate and select needles yourself.

You probably have it, but the manual is available from Machine Knitting Etc.

I have a 350 and have done some rather pretty lace with all hand selected. However, I am hoping to do more complex patterns if I can find the patterning fix/work around. 
I went to see the machine, it is impressive.
