Archive of Thread: Match Cast on to Bind off Back

Hi,

I am relatively new to the knitting machine and brand new to this site which I love.

I have progressed from scarves and blankets and going to attempt a poncho from one of the patterns here.

Can any one help me, normally I use the chain cast on method (I find this the easiest), which is the best bind off to match to this? Is there a chart in existence for knitting machines that tells you which bind off best matches which cast off so you can get some consistency? Also is there a preferred cast on / bind off for when making garments and sew as you go (which is in the poncho I am going to make?)

If anyone can help would be great.

You can control the size of the stitches (and the stretch).  You  pull stitch thru stitch which looks EXACTLY like a chain cast on
