For the bottom of the flap make it more round and I put a hole 1/3 off the back for the ties I like them heavy and used a hole punch for the liner, the top is EON also the liner goes almost to the top I sewed it down and pulled it together.

I have my hats Xtra inner liner Thinsulate 100 gram which I get from Seattle Fabrics.

The cold with wind chill is brutal here, no one wears earrings during winter here until you get inside.  spring and fall I line with fake fur for looks.

Oh also the yarn I used for my sweater is from premier yarns and called bloom

Gloria,
Thanks for sharing!  I mentioned that hats tend to fall over my eyes (must be the shape of my head).  You agreed and shared that you make the front shorter.

This idea will also help anyone who wants more warmth in the back. Just add some shaping to make your hat longer.

Love the fleece lining!
