I watched the tutorial on “Bands for hemmed cardigans�. Adding the extra stitch on the carriage side was an eye opener! I now already have a cardigan with a really nice band on the carriage side of the band, it works just as shown in the video. But what about the other end of the band? How can I add a stitch there to get two nice ends of the band?

The idea is to add an additional stitch. You could ewrap a stitch on the other edge too.
