I would very much like to add a sports graphic stored on my computer to a garment.  I do not have DAK.  It is too elaborate to put on a punch card.  Any other ideas?

Jane, how about doing it in intarsia? You could have multiple colors in one row. Do you have an intarsia carriage or an intarsia setting on your carriage? I find intarsia to be fun, and if you’re doing only one instance of the graphic, it won’t take long.

Years ago I used to do a lot of intarsia and if it wasn't a very simple "blocky" design I would create a pattern sheet by making coloured dots on a sheet of graph paper, one square for every stitch.  It's then relatively easy to slide a ruler up the sheet to indicate each row as it is to be knitted.

I agree!   You can print "to-scale" graph paper here
