As a general rule of thumb.- if I am using my 950i , let's say on stitch size 8 , what stitch size would you use on the garter carriage for the ribs say 1 x 1 or 2 x 2.?

Let's assume the body is stockinette.

I know this will vary with patterns and yarns and I need to swatch but a starting point or general reference would be useful.

My general rule is to use 2 or 3 whole numbers lower for the ribbing, just as I do with the Ribber,  Almost always 2 numbers lower for 1x1 rib, perhaps a little less low for 2x2 or 3x1.

That is what I thought,
I have tried this and it works well.
