Hi all!
I'm Kris from Michigan. I just ordered an LK150 tonight and have been reading all the tutorials. I'm so excited this group exists!
I had 2 knitting machines in the 90s. My first one was a gift my family bought on an infomercial in 1992. It was a mid-gauge plastic machine. My first exposure to machine knitting. I think it was called "The Incredible Sweater Machine". It worked great, but the carriage had plastic tension plates instead of a tension dial. They eventually cracked and I couldn't get replacements. I made a few intarsia and hand-manipulated cable sweaters.
In 1999, I was perusing E-bay and came across a listing for an old Singer standard gauge machine. It had a 24-stitch punch card, a ribber, and did all sorts of great tuck, slip, fair isle, and lace stitches. Worked like a champ! Due to its age, I had to replace the sponge bar on it. The carriage "died" in the mid 2000s. Got a lot of use out of that machine. I had purchased an online book about creating "fabric" on the knitting machine and then using a sewing machine to zigzag & straight stitch the garment "pattern" on the fabric, cut and sew.
Fast forward nearly 20 years and I finally have time to get back into machine knitting again. I decided to get the LK150 to start with since I have a ton of DK and light Aran weight yarn I can use on it.
I will eventually settle on getting a good standard bed with a ribber and all the accessories.
Does anyone have recommendations on a good stand for the LK150?

Hi Kristin!
Welcome back to the world of Machine Knitting! You will have lots of fun with your LK.
The best tables are sturdy - especially with the back and forth motion.
Here's my recommendation, (although it costs almost as much as you paid for your machine 😊). But you can use it with your upcoming standard gauge machine as well.

Hi, Sue! Thank you for your suggestion. I clicked on the link, but only get a "page cannot be found" error.

Juavue,
Does your machine have a ribber? Let me know if you have any pics.
