I'm working on the Seraina T-Shirt pattern on the Knit It Now site. I'm using my SK 280. Yarn is Cotton Kings 8/4 by Hobbii in turquoise. Hobbii offers this yarn on cones and it really knits up well on the SK 280. I'm using T8 for a drapier effect. If I was making a warmer garment with it, I'd use a 7 or even 6.2. I'm getting 28 stitches x 40 rows per 4"/10 cm.
My customization will be a scalloped hem at the bottom and I'll do the suggested dropped stitches on the sleeves. I chose the v-neck shaping option in the pattern. I'm letting the pieces rest for a few hours before I block them tonight. Can't wait to sew it up tomorrow. What an easy to follow pattern! A very quick knit..

Kristin, it looks lovely, love the colour!
Can I ask how you did the hem?
I've been thinking about knitting one of these for a while as I have some thinnish, 2 colour, pastel crepe like yarn... I just need to get my machine set up but weather too hot today and tomorrow... 😰 😰

I recently made a summer tunic sweater with Hobbii cotton king 8/4 on the cone. My studio 360 loved this yarn. Since this was the first project using this yarn, I am wearing it to see how the yarn feels after a few washes. If it wears well, this will be my go to yarn for alot of projects. I used tension 8 as well.

I'm so happy you found a yarn you love! Even better ... it's on cones!
It makes so much sense to use the same yarn again and again... it eliminates some of the guesswork from jumping between different yarns. Once you know how a yarn is going to "behave" you can feel free to play with different techniques.
Here's a link to the hobbii yarn
It looks like it's approx 1674 Yards per pound

Happy Knitting!

Thank you so much! ☺
I did the preselected size 5 on the Knit It Now pattern. It's a 41" bust with a 6" v-neck depth. I did add about a half inch in ribbing around the neckline. I also added a scalloped hem at the bottom. Very pleased with it.
