HI,
I'm going thru the Brother 940 class on Automatic Stitch Patterning. It is not going well. I follow the instructions, step, enter pattern number, step, step... and no pattern. The needles all go to D. The class suggests doing pattern 90, but that didn't do anything. So, I was looking in my book for the tuck pattern, 240, and tried that setup. Nothing, the needles all go to D and it knits stockinette.

What I would really like? Someone to learn from local to me or on zoom. I can successfully knit manually, but I want to start using the built in patterns. I'm sure I've missed a step!

Are you sure that after you've done ...step...step the green Ready lamp is lit?  Also make sure none of the Variations are selected.

Teresa,
Are you sure you are taking the carriage all the way across the bed, (past the turn mark) so the Sensor is reading the stitch pattern?

I bet that’s what I’m doing wrong. Taking a cool down break and I’ll try that. Thank you!!
