Tame the Curl!
There was quite a bit of talk about this issue during Tuesday's Knit Club.

Phillipa in Quebec sent the following suggestion

DEALING with CURLING EDGES IN STOCKINETTE

The way I deal with curling edges for stockinette scarves is to..

1: Move the end stitches out by one needle, and push the second needle from
the edge back into non-knitting position (A).
2: Set the carriage so that these end needles will slip (ie. will not
knit) in one direction, but will knit back into B position on the return
row.

On Silver Reed machines put the Russell lever on the side of the carriage
nearest the knitting at 1, and on the other side of the carriage at 11.
3: Every second row I then manually pull the end needles to 'D' position.
The edge stitches then only knit every second row.

On Brother machines:
Slide the N..H lever on the carriage to H - end needles in E position .
Lift the yarn nearest the carriage back under the needle so that it is
in the space between the end needle and the next one, and knit one row.
Slide the hold lever from "H" back to "N" and the needles will then
knit back from E to B on the return row.

When you take the piece off the machine and stretch it length wise, the space
created by the nonworking needle will disappear.
You will have an edge equivalent to slipping the first stitch of each row
when hand knitting.

If you do the above without leaving the the space between the edge stitch
and the next one, I find the the edges are too tight. Leaving the
second-from-the-edge needles in non-working position allows just enough give
for the end stitches to loosen into a soft edge with much less curl.

Thanks Phillipa!

I had to try this!  ðŸ˜Š

Not sure how much it cures curling edges, but I LOVE the chained look to the edge.  I modified the instructions just a bit so you get a nice chain on each side ... Take a look at the new video ... you'll want to try this yourself!
