- Use the Knit it Now Mile-a-Minute Hat pattern
(knit 2 hats with one ball of yarn and only cast on once) - Scrap on and knit the hat length of your choice
- Seam the hat
- Pick up the cast on edge and knit ribbing in the round
Challenge #2
- Cast on loosely and reform ribbing by hand
- Knit the desired length of the hat.
- Gather the top of the hat or add shaping

Challenge #4
- Challenge yourself to knit a hat in the round
- Scrap on and transfer stitches to the ribber for tubular knitting
- Knit the body of the hat in the round
- Gather the top of the hat
- Pick up the cast on edge with a circular hand knitting needle and knit ribbing in the round
