Faux Crochet Edge

Here is an absolutely gorgeous edge that looks like crochet, but easily worked on the machine.
Once you see the basic construction, I'm sure you'll come up with lots of variations of your own.
This edge can be worked as a hem, along the side of a knitted piece, (like a cardigan front) or even used as a neckband.
