The Goal of this Challenge

Adding shaped shoulders to a sweater can really improve fit. Using Short Row | Partial Knitting makes short work of creating the shapes.

This is a useful introduction and exercise for short row shaping (partial knitting)

In this challenge you will knit at 3 swatches. Each exercise will use different skills that may be new to you.

  • Manual Short Rows

  • Automatic Short rows

  • Seaming the shoulders


Advanced Challenge:
  1. Work these exercises in pattern (tuck, slip, fairisle etc)
  2. Work these exercises on the ribber (1x1, full needle rib etc)
