Point cams used to control pattern knitting range
On Singer/Silver/Studio machines, the point cams determine the range of pattern knitting. The devices slide along the back of the needlebed.Pattern knitting only happens between 2 point cams. When setting Point cams at both edges of the knitting, the pattern will be knitted across the entire row. When knitting isolated motif, position the point cam on each side of where you want the motif to knit, keeping the other sections in plain knitting.
